Note: This example is from the May 2027 Business Management HL course; however, the process is the same for all subjects.
During your Pamoja studies, you may be assigned assignments with Peer Reviews associated with them.
During these assignments, you will be required to review the work of one or more of your classmates. However, you can only begin the peer review after you have submitted your own assignment.
Peer Reviews will not be assigned until both of the following conditions are met:
- You have submitted your work for the task.
- The deadline for the initial task has passed.
How to find the work you will need for the Peer Review?
There are two paths for you to access the Peer Review task:
Path 1: Notification email
Once you have submitted your work and the task deadline has passed, you will receive a notification email for each Peer Review task assigned. These will be titled “Assigned peer review for [Your classmate’s name]” from <notifications@instructure.com>, as shown in the screenshot below.
To access the peer review task, click the link in the email that says: “Click here to complete your review.”
Path 2: From the “Units” Section
In addition to the notification email, you can also access the Peer Review task through the following path:
Courses > M2027 Subject Level > Units
In the Units section, you should see task(s) labelled:
“Required Peer Review 1” / “Required Peer Review 2” and so on, as applicable.
Enter one of the Required Peer Review tasks. On the right-hand side of the page, under “Assigned Peer Reviews”, you will see the Peer Review tasks.
Click the provided links to begin each Peer Review.
How to complete the Peer Review?
After entering the Peer Review task, you should see a screen similar to the screenshot below.
Click “View feedback”
A pop-up window will appear, allowing you to preview the submission.
At the top of the window, you will find annotation tools (highlighted in the red rectangle) that you can use to comment or mark the submission as needed.
You can also add a comment on the right-hand side after you review the document. Remember to click “Save” after you input the comment.
Once a Peer Review task has been completed, you will see a green tick beside it, as shown in the screenshot below.
