What is a Trial Exam? Is it an official mock exam?
The Trial Exams are the official mock exams for Year 2 students' Pamoja courses.
Does the Trial Exam count toward the student's semester grade?
The Trial Exam is a key indicator for Pamoja’s Term 7 grade and official IB Predicted Grades.
When will the Trial Exam take place?
Time: Weeks 50, 51, and 52 of Term 7 (three-week period).
Trial exams take place in Term 7 of the course during three weeks, covering weeks 50, 51, and 52.

How does the school know the exact date of the Trial Exam?
Schools can choose any day and time during the exam period for their student(s) to sit their exam and need to make the necessary arrangements. The exams can be supervised either by a Site-based Coordinator, a Diploma Programme Coordinator, or a designated school member.
How does the school know the details of the Trial Exam?
In Week 45: Schools are notified by email about timings and the number of papers students will be required to take per subject 6 weeks before the exam period start date.
In Week 48: Further information specific to each subject, exam administration guidelines, and exam papers are sent to schools.
What if the exam can not be held during the designated period?
If any circumstances beyond the school’s or the student’s control may prevent them from administering or sitting the exam during the designated 3-week exam window, Pamoja School Services need to be contacted immediately at courses@pamojaeducation.com
What should the school do after the exam completion?
Within 24 hours of exam completion, SBC needs to:
- Scan exam paper and student’s responses as a single PDF file per student.
- Ensure the name of the document is the name of the student.
- Send the exams to the Pamoja teacher of record by email, within 24 hours of the exam completion.
