This article explains how to set up and access your Pamoja student account before your course begins.
Step 1: Check your welcome emails
Before the course starts, you will receive emails from notifications@instructure.com.
Email Subject: "Finish registration: Canvas"
Please follow the instructions in this email to complete your account setup.
You will be asked to: confirm your login details, set your password and select your time zone.
- Please ensure you select the correct time zone for your location.
- If your region observes Daylight Saving Time, choose the appropriate option (e.g. London +00:00/+01:00 rather than UTC +00:00).
Click "Register" to complete this step.
Email Subject: "Course invitation"
You will receive at least two course invitation emails for:
- Student Orientation
- Your enrolled course(s)
Once you receive the course invitation emails, please click “Get Started” to enter the course. If you are enrolled in more than one subject, you will receive a separate invitation for each course.
Note:
- You will usually receive the Student Orientation invitation first. Invitations for your enrolled course(s) may be sent later, depending on the course start date.
- If you have not received your course invitation after the start date, please contact us at courses@pamojaeducation.com.
Step 2: Accept the course invitation
After logging in, you may see a green notification banner at the top of your page.
Click "Accept" to confirm your enrolment.
Your course will then appear on your dashboard.
Step 3: Complete the Student Orientation course
Once your account is set up, open the Student Orientation Course within your account.
This course will help you:
- Understand how the platform works
- Learn how to submit assignments
- Navigate your course effectively
You can return to this course at any time during your Pamoja Online Course.
