Putting Parents at Ease: Sharing Updates with Parents
The Site-based Coordinator (SBC) serves as the point of contact between Pamoja and parents or guardians. As an SBC, you’ll have access to resources that can be shared with parents who have questions or concerns. If a parent reaches out for an update or to discuss their child’s progress in their Pamoja course, the following information can be provided:
Engagement Rating Report & Term Grades
Visit the Locating Semester Reports, Term Grades and Engagement Ratings on ManageBac page to access instructions on downloading student Engagement Reports and Term Grades.
If your school utilizes ManageBac, parents have the option of accessing their child’s reports through their parent portal.
Teacher Feedback
Most assignments have feedback from the student’s Pamoja teacher. Feel free to compile a few samples of their feedback to share with parents.
Site-based Coordinators can also reach out to their students’ Pamoja teacher directly for updates on student progress. This can be done via KeyChat.
Another way to get an update on a student’s progress within their Pamoja course is to reach out to School Services at courses@pamojaeducation.com, and they can connect you with your student’s teacher.
