The first thing to know when it comes to green circles is that the status of the green circle will not affect your progress through the course. As long as you have completed your work appropriately and on time, the green circle malfunctioning will not have an effect on your success in the course.
Before contacting School Services, please check the following:
1) If the assignment is a reading assignment, please make sure that you have accessed and read all materials available. If you skip through pages too quickly, the system won't register that you have viewed the page and won't turn green.
2) If your assignment is a Live Lesson (this applies to IB courses only), please note that Live Lessons will only turn green and register as completed if they are viewed live, or within a week of being recorded. After that, the lesson will still be available but the dot won't turn green.
3) If you are accessing an Extended Essay live lesson (IB only), make sure it is the correct live lesson. You may see other students live lesson assignments in your course; the one between you and your supervisor is the only one you need to attend and these must be attended live.
4) For all other types of assignments, you will need to upload your work before the deadline in order for the Green Dot to appear.
If none of the above options are applicable and you think the green circle should be filled in, please contact School Services by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
